When do I need a reservation?
If you are renting six boats or more, or are looking to schedule an guided tour give us a call! 978-369-9438. For rentals that do not qualify for a reservation, no need to worry, we have lots of boats. It is very rare you will have to wait for a boat, except on holidays and busy weekends between 11am and 3pm.
What exactly does the rental include?
Your rental includes life jackets (for all ages and sizes, from infant to adult) and paddles for each person (2 paddles per canoe, plus one childs if needed) as well as cushions, and back rests (for people who are sitting on the floor).
What should I bring and wear?
For your rental we request a $20.00 deposit upon arriving, a form of payment and a Photo I.D. If you plan to electronics we recommend that you bring a waterproof container! We also recommend that you bring a snack, water, sunglasses, sunscreen, towel and a hat. Remember! Paddling is a water sport, therefore waring clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting splashed or damaged! Also remember to Dress for the weather!
What about storage?
We do not have lockers so please leave any unnecessary items in your vehicle, if not you should bring a water proof bag!
Are Food and Beverages allowed?
Hungry? You are more then welcome to bring food and stop along the riverbanks for a snack or lunch. However we do not allow alcohol on any of our boats.
What type of Paddle Routs are available?
You have a choice of three routs, each of which have a different water environment. You may choose the less travel route; The Assabet river which offers , while the Sudbury river offers , or you may choose the most route; the Concord River.
Are Children Allowed?
Of course! As long as you feel comfortable bringing your child, all we ask is that you stay with your children at all times!
What about pets?
We welcome pets, but be prepared that some animals may become frightened, and may jump out of the boats, so be prepared to retrieve them.
How late can I rent?
You may start your voyage whenever you'd like! Just make sure the boat is returned by closing.
What if I stay out for longer than one hour?
Since boats may not be for everyone there is no minimum charge, we charge by the quarter hour based on the time you leave the dock till your return, on the water. We encourage our boaters to make a day out of their trip, so no need to worry about the time; for customers that exceed five hours, you'll pay the day rate. No matter how long you're out! What form of payment is accepted?
We accept Cash and Gift Certificates.
How old does a child have to be to take their own boat?
We trust a parents desition, so we dont have a set age, all we ask is that for children who are under the age of 14 be accompanied by an adult.
